The majority of landowners who attending a recent meeting indicated they did not want the proposed KVR trail linking Oliver to Osoyoos opened up in their backyard. But avid cyclist Gail Owen strongly favoured the KVR proposal, saying it will bring a lot of tourist dollars to the area.

The health benefits are one of the main reasons the BC Cycling Coalition is recommending the BC Government invest $1 billion over ten years to enable all the people of the province to cycle, walking or use other light-weight mobility devices for their daily trips. A recent study reports that "Cyclists in the Netherlands live on average six months longer than their non-biking counterparts. Each year about 6,500 deaths are prevented in the country."Read more
Well, that didn’t go very well to say the very least. The Transportation Referendum failed with only 38% voting yes. This disappointing result serves to strengthen our resolve to campaign for increased funding for cycling improvements across the Province.Read more
